Your new DHT AR-15 or AR-10 barrel comes complete and ready to install on your receiver. All barrel extensions that we use incorporate M4 feed ramps. We have found that the M4 feed ramps are ideal for use in any weapon or with any cartridge.

*All DHT AR-10 Barrels are HBAR Contour and are threaded to 5/8x24. Any other configurations will be a custom order.

**All barrels are shipped machined raw SS unless specifically requested to be Cerakoted. DHT is a certified Cerakote Applicator and Cerakote services are available for your barrel for an additional $60.

CUSTOM ORDERS

You can order a custom AR15/10 barrel either via telephone, email, or with our online form here. The cost of an AR15/10 barrel is dependent upon the make-up of the barrel, including length, material, and extras like fluting. Lead times vary for custom orders and require the full amount to be paid up front.

A “standard” AR15 is up to 18″ long. It can be either Stainless Steel or Chrome Moly. The muzzle is threaded with the proper threads dependent upon the cartridge. In 223 or 5.56 the standard muzzle thread is 1/2″ x 28 TPI. For the 300 AAC Blackout the thread is 5/8″ x 24 TPI. Also note that the contour of your AR15/10 barrel is dependent upon your gas block diameter that you are going to use. Most common is .750″, but there is also .625″, .875″ and .936″. Unless you are using a “clamp-on” gas block the muzzle diameter will be dependent upon the gas block size. For example: If you are using a slip on .750″ gas block, the largest diameter that the muzzle can be is approximately .750″.

*If you request a thread that we do not currently offer, there will be an additional charge of $10.00 added to the cost of the barrel. This will show as “Non-Standard Thread” on your invoice.

**Please note on 300 AAC Blackout barrels, if you are shooting sub-sonic the only system length that should be done is a pistol length. If you are only shooting super-sonic we have found that the gas system length is dependent upon the barrel length. We have done in a Carbine system length and found that the gas port needs to be adjusted for your particular rifle. Rifle length system on a 20″ or longer barrel WILL NOT WORK.

Custom Work - Restocking Fee*

If you decide to cancel your order after machine work has begun, you will be assessed a 15% restocking fee. If no work has been started on your barrel, you will receive a full refund. If the barrel has been contoured to a “special” contour, no refund will be issued. Any and all merchant service fees incurred by the company will be deducted from any refund.

DARK HORSE TACTICAL ACCURACY COMMITMENT

Each DHT-15 DMR and DHT-10 SPR weapon system is tested at 50- and 100-yards using match-grade ammunition. Each weapon system is certified to shoot 1 MOA at 100 yards. Our barrels are some of the best in the word when installed in one of our rifles by our professional staff. We highly recommend that a licensed/professional gunsmith install our barrels into your host receiver (We will do this for an additional cost). Although we are highly confident in our barrel’s accuracy, we cannot guarantee how it will perform in your host receiver. If you wish for us to install your new barrel onto your provided host receiver, please note this in the appropriate section of the order form.

We cannot guarantee end-user proficiency level, optic quality, mounting solution, platform familiarity and ammunition is capable of obtaining this level of accuracy. The end-user should be aware that the above listed factors; as well as environmental variables can greatly affect accuracy.
