Josh began his professional career with obtaining a degree in Criminal Justice. He then transitioned into civilian law enforcement where he is a full-time police officer and trainer with a Las Vegas valley based agency. During his time here, Josh has served as a Field Training Officer, SWAT Officer, Firearms Instructor, and Active Shooter Instructor. In addition to being a first responder to numerous real-world critical incidents and violent crimes in progress, Josh provides hundreds of hours of in-service advanced weapons and tactics instruction to personnel department-wide including department new hires.

Josh currently serves on his departments Special Weapons and Tactics team. He currently holds the position of Sniper Element Leader and oversees three other SWAT officers operating in a sniper/observer role. He coordinates training and oversees the deployment of the snipers during critical incidents. Josh is also the lead firearms instructor for the SWAT team. He coordinates training, develops lesson plans and qualifications and leads all firearm based training for his team. Josh has also filled the role of Assistant Team Leader, planning High-Risk Search Warrants.

Joshua is a certified NRA, NTOA and FBI firearms instructor with over 10 years of Law Enforcement experience and over 6 years of which have been spent in SWAT. Josh is also a certified CCW instructor for both Nevada AND Utah.

Tim Hastie brings to DHT a diverse and uniquely qualified background of instructional capabilities and operational expertise. Tim has served for nearly two decades in law enforcement in the southwest U.S. As a Police Officer, he has been assigned to patrol and the department’s SWAT team and is currently a Field Training Officer for new Police Officers.

Tim served for 9 years on his department’s SWAT team and was responsible for addressing hundreds of high risk/tactical situations. While assigned to the SWAT team, he was responsible for conducting covert operations in both urban and rural environments as a sniper and sniper section leader.

Tim was also a POST Certified Lead Instructor with his agency where he routinely instructed firearms, entry weapons and tactics, precision rifle, physical fitness and active shooter response. His responsibilities further included actively teaching this material to numerous other local, state and federal entities.

As part of his current assignment, he is certified in Crisis intervention and negotiation (C.I.T. and C.N.T.).

Julio Delgado brings to DHT a diverse and uniquely qualified background of instructional capabilities and operational expertise. Julio’s professional career began with a degree in Fire Technology from Los Angeles Valley College in Los Angeles, California. He then moved into a law enforcement career starting with a mid-sized city police department where he currently serves on the SWAT team as the Lead Breacher.

During this six-year period of Julio’s decade long law enforcement career, he has been involved in numerous critical incidents and performed in roles that included breacher and entry officer.
Julio is a POST certified instructor and routinely provides in-service training to commissioned law enforcement personnel in firearms, arrest & control, physical fitness and active shooter response. Additionally, Julio is a Level 1 CrossFit Instructor. Julio also holds multiple law enforcement user and instructor certifications including FTO, firearms, active shooter, and Energetic, Ballistic and Exothermic Breaching.

Julio serves Dark Horse Tactical as an adjunct firearms instructor and is the Director of the 5/2 Tactical Breaching courses offered by DHT.
